HTTP Congratulates Anna Gomez on her Senate Confirmation to the FCC

HTTP congratulates Anna Gomez on her Senate confirmation to the Federal Communications Commission. HTTP has urged the Biden-Harris Administration since 2021 to nominate a qualified Latino to the FCC and they have found an outstanding candidate in Anna Gomez.

Gomez, being the first Latina to sit on the commission in more than two decades, brings a viewpoint to the FCC with our lived experiences and we are excited to work with someone who can collaborate and comment on how issues specifically impact our community.

HTTP is confident that Gomez’s expertise in telecommunications law and policy will benefit not only our community but U.S. consumers at large. We applaud the Administration for listening to our Comments and we look forward to working with Gomez and the entire FCC on important issues such as sustaining the Affordable Connectivity Program and creating equity throughout America’s telecommunications landscape.
